The Makita DGA517 125mm Paddle Switch Grinder is fitted with a brushless motor and has a feature which lets the user adjust the torque and speed according to the load condition. Automatic Torque Drive Technology automatically changes the cutting speed according to load condition for an optimum operation. There is also a variable speed control dial, lock-on function and an electronic current limiter for overload protection.
The body of the grinder is covered with an ergonomic soft grip for increased comfort and control. There are a number of safety features on this model, including: an anti-restart function, electric brake and Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) which shuts down the tool to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly slows down.
