How we use cookies

This page explains what cookies are, which ones we use and how you can choose which ones you allow. We only use cookies the site needs to work, payment cookies to help keep your payment safe, and Google Analytics cookies if you say yes.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, phone or tablet when you visit. They let the site remember things, such as what's in your basket or that you're signed in.

Some cookies are set by the website you're visiting (first-party cookies). Others are set by another company whose service the site uses, such as a payment provider (third-party cookies). Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in the same way, and this policy covers them too.

How we use cookies

Always on

Strictly necessary

These make the site work: your basket, signing in, checkout, security and remembering your cookie choice. The law allows us to use them without asking, because the site can't work without them. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site, such as the basket and checkout, won't work.

Only with your consent

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited and how people use the site, so we can improve it. These cookies are only set if you accept analytics cookies.

When you pay

Payment

Stripe, PayPal and Google Pay set cookies when you pay, to process your payment securely and to prevent and detect fraud. These are strictly necessary for the payment you've asked for, so the law allows them without asking for your consent.

No advertising or social media tracking. We don't use advertising or marketing cookies, and we don't use social media tracking such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. We don't use cookies to show you adverts on other websites.

We never store card numbers or other sensitive information in cookies.

Your choices

  1. Choose when you first visitOur cookie banner lets you pick Accept All Cookies, Reject all or Settings, where you can choose category by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. Analytics cookies are never set unless you accept them.
  2. Change your mind any timeUse the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page to change or withdraw your consent. If you withdraw consent, we stop setting those cookies from then on. Cookies already on your device stay until they expire, unless you delete them in your browser settings.
  3. We remember your choiceWe save your preferences for up to 12 months, then ask you again. If you clear your cookies, we'll ask again on your next visit.

Browser settings

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Look for "cookies" or "privacy" in your browser's settings or help pages. If you block all cookies, some parts of our site, such as the basket, signing in and checkout, won't work properly.
