- Thanks to the particularly compact design of the oil filter socket, oil filters on Mercedes M102 and M103 engines can be replaced without the need for removing the induction pipe.
- The problem with K9K engines is that the alternator is located very close to the oil filter. Thus, there is a risk of causing a short circuit with the alternator charging cable when using a conventional oil filter tool.
- The KL-0122-219 B oil filter socket was specifically developed for this type of engines.
- The socket features a non-conductive surface coating designed to prevent accidental short circuits and, as a result, to allow the oil filter to be loosened and tightened safely.
